Sturbridge, MA

26 July 2012--Marie and Emily came for s short visit with us out at Sturbridge, MA Outdoor World. Just a couple days, but we hung out at the RV park and then went to Southwick's Wild Animal farm yesterday. These are pics of a walk around the park, notice the pony and wishing trees, and Emily at the pool. She had it all to herself!

Southwick's was fun. Mostly nice weather, but pretty warm by the end of the day so we were pretty beat.

Emily and Marie try to get the parakeets to land on their popsicle sticks. Emily had a few of them land.

This is Cotton, the Farm's youngest camel at 8 yrs old, and its tallest, at 8 ft tall! Emily said this was the best part of her day.

Some random pics...thought Kristine might want to copy some of them to have for herself.

These 2 chimps, a baby and an adult, were chomping away at what we thought from a distance was a very large piece of fruit...turned out upon closer inspection to be pieces of a frisbee.

Took a sky ride around the park to cap off the day. At our age, for Marie, Cathy and I this was the best part of our day!

Love this face!

  3. Marie now I know why I can't reach you, you have been Livin the Dream. Good for you!!! Paula, just a reminder Marie doesn't have any commitment for September, she may take up residence. Cathy don't be too quick to make the offer to Marie, you'll be stuck with two "flashlight holders". ENJOY!!!!

  5. Great Zoo. I NEVER KNEW THERE WERE SO MANY TYPES OF TURTLES AND MONKEYS. ALSO, NEVER BEEN TO A ZOO WHERE YOU COULD FEED THE BEAUTIFUL BIRDS. ONE YELLOW CAME ON EMILY'S FOOD STICK AND DIDN'T WANT TO GET OFF !!! SHE REALLY WANTED TO FEED THE BLUE AND SHE FINALLY DID.
EMILY WAS REALLY NERVOUS ABOUT RIDING THE CAMEL BUT WAS SO HAPPY WITH HERSELF THAT SHE DID IT. SHE ALSO WANTED HER PIC TAKEN EVERYWHERE.
ANOTHER GREAT DAY. THANKS LADIES !!!!!!!!!!!!
